Does ECU offer payment plans? ›

East Carolina University offers a variety of interest free installment payment plans each fall and spring semester. Students and authorized users can sign up for a payment plan through ECU's TouchNet Bill+Payment system.

New or continuing students

Access our secure transaction web page for payment 24 hours a day by Credit or Debit Card. Payment can be made in your preferred currency from overseas via bank transfer, credit card or AliPay with no intermediary bank fees.

You may 'skip' each eligible loan one time per year. The loan to be skipped must be current for six months before the skipped payment per loan per calendar year (one skipped payment = one monthly payment, two consecutive bi-weekly payments, or four consecutive weekly payments).

The department offers two concentrations: Finance and Risk Management & Insurance.

Minimum unweighted GPA of 3.7. Minimum weighted GPA of 4.0. Minimum SAT score of 1330. Minimum ACT score of 29.

Even if you think you may not be eligible, we encourage you to apply. The FAFSA is available beginning October 1. We encourage you to file your FAFSA online as soon as possible to avoid errors and ensure faster processing. ECU's priority deadline is March 1.

Course Load – During fall and spring semesters, 12 semester hours is the minimum course load for a student to be considered full-time.

New students will pay by credit card (VISA or MasterCard) the $100 application fee and the $100 Advanced Room Fee (credited towards your spring room charges) – a total of $200 to submit a contract to reserve a space.

You can request a deferral through your ECU agent. If you don't have an agent, please send your deferral request using this enquiry form. You can defer your offer for up to 12 months. We'll need to reassess your application any time you request a deferral.

Grants are generally awarded to students with the greatest financial need, which is determined by completion of the FAFSA. Loans are funds that do require repayment.
