Cam was bom to Albert Bonds and Eleanor Gray "Cameron" Bonds in Lakewood, Ohio on December 21, 1926. A date which started a lifelong competition with Christmas, but also ensured that warmer, longer days laid ahead. Cam graduated from Lakewood High School and served stateside in the U.S. Army during the end of WWII.

Following an honorable discharge as Staff Sargent, Cam re-enrolled at Ohio Untversity from which he graduated in 1948 with a degree in Industrial engineering. Cam recelved his M.B.A. from Western Reserve University while employed as the first machine operator and 4th employee of Preformed Line Products. Cam rose in management at Preformed until he started Helical Line Products, an electrical hardware manufacturing company, in 1964. Until he fell ill at the beginning of this year, Cam still enjoyed going into work at Helical with two of his sons.Cam is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Bonds, to whom he proposed on their second date.

She sald yes on their third. He will also be missed by his three sons and daughters-in-law; Bill and Wendy Bonds of Bay Village, Bob and Sue Bonds of Avon Lake and Jim and Laura Bonds of St. Simons, Is. GA. Cam is also survived by his brother Bill Bonds (Carleen) of Avon Lake, by his grandchildren Shannon (Rolf), Lauren (Matthew), Cameron, Katherine and Elizabeth and great-grandchildren Will and Adalyn.

Cam and Betty were A master bridge playing team, a game through which they cultivated many enduring friendships. Cam also enJoyed economics and history. He was our family historian. After putting himself through college with the help of the GI Bill, he then put his children and grandchildren through college as well.
